Studios
District Entertainment's recording division is comprised of 2 separate studios in our Alexandria, VA location. Studio A (The Boyd Room) is designed for vocal and small instrument recording. This room is also used for all mixing and mastering and was constructed with sound engineering in mind. Studio B (Big Joe) is designed for full band recording and doubles as a rehearsal space for the bands that choose to record with us. This room is also used for a cappella group recording and features up to 20 tracks of simultaneous recording to maximize microphone placement.
Studio A - (The Boyd Room)
If you're looking to record solo vocals, small instruments, or groups of 4 or less, this studio is for you!! Our vocal booth is 12' x 6', air-conditioned, and has 80% Auralex coverage for peak sound isolation. Studio A comes with the following Equipment.
Studio B - (Big Joe)
Are you a band or group looking for a place to rehearse or record your next album? This room can accommodate you! At 15' x 18', this studio can hold a band or group of up to 15 people. For rehearsal or recording, this room comes complete with a drum set, a Mackie PA system, Yamaha speakers, and boom stands for microphones. There is also a loading dock and elevator to make equipment transportation easy and convenient. Studio B comes with the following Equipment.
